NIMONIC Alloy 901 (UNS N09901/W.Nr. 2.4662) is a Ni-Fe-Cr superalloy boasting additional components of molybdenum, titanium, and aluminum. Different melting methods, such as vacuum induction melting, vacuum arc remelting, and electroslag remelting, can be employed to produce this superior alloy depending on its intended application and any customer requirements.

Nimonic 901

Essential details
Nimonic 901 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that is precipitation hardened using heat treatment. This alloy is preferred for use in oxidizing environments with temperatures of about 593°C (1100°F).

Applications:

the alloy is used for gas turbine engine discs, shafts, rings, casings and seals with a maximum service temperature of around 600°C (1100°F).
